The APARTHOTEL Familie Hugenschmidt is characterised by modernity and innovation, as well as by the character of traditional Swiss hospitality. As a family-run business, we uphold the idea of personal service, direct contact and a close-knit family atmosphere. We want this to set us apart from today’s «click-and-bed» hotel industry, which is increasingly becoming mainstream.

The hotel was established in 1969 thanks to the ambitious creativity of the couple who founded it, Hermann and Hedy Hugenschmidt. In so doing, they fulfilled their lifelong dream. We remain loyal to their visionary principle of meeting the highest standards in terms of service, even in the mid-price segment.

Sylvia, the daughter of the couple who founded the hotel, has now taken over its management. Along with her daughter Samantha, she is always available to help our valued hotel guests. Since 2017 & 2021, the youngest members of the family have been ready to take over the management of the hotel, now in its fourth generation. Marino & Livio are already the stars among our guests!

The cosy feeling of being at home is one of the uppermost goals which we continuously strive towards in our family-run business. Regardless of whether you are a regular visitor or popping in for a short stay – we look forward to welcoming you as a guest in our hotel and our family-run business.

I am very proud to share our passion and love for hospitality with my husband Kurt and our daughters Samantha and Sabrina, along with our grandsons Marino and Livio. We are looking forward to meeting you!
